The International Virtual Aviation Organisation TURKEY Division (IVAO-TR), sub-organization of IVAO which was founded in 31 March 2002 to provide an online platform for flight simulation enthusiasts to enjoy their hobby in a simulated real-world environment, in company of other people, flying or providing Air Traffic Control services.
Starting with a few dozen friends, IVAO Turkey has now grown to one of the most active division in IVAO community, with more than 4000 members and 10 virtual airlines. During these past 15 years, numerous people have helped to build IVAO Turkey to what it is today. Great work has been done, providing many services to our members both in national and international level.
Our “mission” is to provide an environment for a realistic Flight and Air Traffic Control simulation via the internet, utilizing IVAN (International Virtual Aviation Network) without charging money and available to anyone who agrees with the membership requirements.
The “main goals” are to provide; a highly realistic simulation experience whilst maintaining a fun and friendly atmosphere, information and training in real life procedures for both Pilots and Air Traffic Controllers.
IVAO Turkey provides localised information for members and is the first point of contact for most matters within Turkish territory. We are responsible for publishing documentation, procedures and charts for Turkey airspace as well as organising events and tours and providing training.
When simulating real world aviation in the IVAO environment, we will avoid, at any price, to simulate or to become involved in real world ethnical, political and religious conflicts and problems. We also will not allow the simulation of any form of aggression or war. IVAO is an entertaining and educational network where every world citizen, without any exception, is welcome to join the fun and pursue their virtual aviation experience.
In the last 15 years, beside the aviation passion we encourage and give upmost importance to social relations which have brought us up to a great family.
