My name is Ibrahim Karakaya, I am 29 years old and live since birth in Berlin. My

hometown is Konya. Since 2015, I am working as a research assistant at the Technical
University of Berlin in the field of flight mechanics, flight control and aeroelasticity. I
am engaged in flight simulation and design of autopilots for unmanned, high altitude
flying aircraft with long endurance. I am doing my doctorate at the same time. I met
IVAO in the year 2009 and I am really happy to. IVAO is perfect for the exchange of
knowledge, because many friends are real air traffic controllers or pilots. The network

an atc controller, but also for example like with me as an aircraft engineer. I am very
happy to be with IVAO and to share my experience in aviation to all members.
- Can you introduce your department ?
In my Former position, We in the Membership Department have the responsibility of
keeping the member database clean, regulating it according to the Rules of the IVAO,
and taking care of our users. In addition, the assistance in reactivating their accounts
after a break or updating their email address, and assigning the division awawrds for
our users are also in our responsibility. If a member has a problem regarding his
account or a conflict with someone else, we are the first point of contact. We
welcome the new users and try to make their start in IVAO as pleasant as possible. We

- Could you tell us a little bit about your HQ staff at IVAO?
In addition to the old position of Membership Coordinator, I am at the IVAO
Headquarter as Senior Staff in the Membership Department as IVAO Membership
Advisor active. We are clarifying user issues not only for a division, but globally for the
whole IVAO network. We are getting many mails from the users, who have issues
regarding their account. I am also the leader of the Award Working Group project,
where we create or update awards for the whole IVAO network. I am really happy that
we as turkish division have also Senior Staff. That shows our motivation as Turkey

- What are your forward goals? Will you always be in this environment?
My goals are to do everything possible to ensure the success of my division and for
IVAO network in general. By answering technical questions and helping pilots, to set a
good example for them, to enjoy and to show our members that we are always a
family full of respect. My goal is to motivate young people to aviation with the IVAO
network. I'm happy to be here!
