Hello. I'm Orkun Terzioğlu. I was born in Istanbul. I am 33 years old. I graduated from Sakarya
University School of Business Administration. I have a family company that provides
contracting services to Oil Storage Facilities. I do Administrative Management and Finance
works. I obtained the FS2009 CD from a friend in 2009. This is how my first simulator
adventure started. Later in the forums, I learned that this hobby can be done online. I found
IVAO in 2011. There was not enough technology in the past. Accessing documents and
training was not easy as it is now. For a while, I had practiced more than 100 offline flights

flying and giving ATC service within IVAO for about 10 years. I always remember my dear
brothers who taught me a lot about simulation. I greet them with my respects.
- Can you introduce your department ?
I am currently doing my hobby as an IVAO Turkey Flight Operations Director assuming that
duty. Our department belongs to the IVAO Turkey Division which is responsible for approved
Virtual Airlines monitoring, certification process, processing of database updates and route
update proceses. The department also has an Assistant Coordinator. I would like to thank to
Mustafa Emre Ergenç for his support and hard work.
- Can you tell us a little bit about your HQ staff position at IVAO and training position in
Turkish division?

processes of all Virtual Airlines within IVAO, general database works, route works and future
projects which developed as a team.
I work as a Training advisor in IVAO Turkey Training Department. We carry out the training
and exams in line with the standards set by IVAO by making the necessary planning in line
with the requests of the members.
- What are your forward goals? Will you always be in this environment?

I wanted to be beneficial for every new member who will be raised in this environment by

taking part in IVAO outside of my hobby and by transferring the spirit of aviation,
consciousness, and most importantly the right information with the right methods. Every
piece of information properly transmitted multiplies and forms a unity in general. From this
point of view, I spend time and effort by voluntarily sacrificing, if necessary, like my other
on-duty colleagues. Frankly, I'm not bored with this. I am proud of my friends and brothers
and sisters that I met in this environment, with whom I gave information, with whom we

asking me, you spend so much time if there is money at the end of this business. I think there
can be no better spiritual gain than this. It is both a general culture, a hobby, and fun. It's a
difficult hobby to enjoy without learning. Therefore, as long as I have the means and time, I
would like to continue my mission in order to transfer information and share the
experiences I have already gained.
